PSI EASRAC held in Fukuoka(30/3/2006)

From March 30-31, the Public Services International (PSI) East Asia Sub-Regional Advisory Committee (EASRAC) was held in Fukuoka, Japan and was attended by 63 participants and observers from Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao, Mongolia and Japan. 5 unions from Japan were represented -JICHIRO, Japan Public Service Union, ZENSUIDO (water union) TOSHIKO (public transport union) and Healthcare Workers Union. Attending from JICHIRO were President Okabe; Mr. Inokuchi, Director of the International Department; Ms. Noda, Director of the General Affairs and Public Relations Department; Ms. Nakajima, Deputy Director of the Wage/Conditions Department and several observers from the JICHIRO Fukuoka Prefectural HQ.
The main aims of the EASRAC meeting were to decide on a concrete plan of action to be implemented in each country and for this to feed into the Asia Pacific Regional Executive Committee (APREC) in April and the Asia Pacific Regional Conference (APRECON) in September.
